The new school will create 1,800 new places for 11-16 year-olds. The WEA consists of two major new developments, Whitehouse and Fairfield, which will serve as the catchment area for the new school
Our role in this project has been to assist with the set up of the site. To install new drainage infrastructure from roadways to new school buildings. Install under-slab and in-slab drains and services. We have formed new reinforced concrete raft foundations and slab for new school buildings.
At the end of September 2019 we completed the final concrete raft pour which forms the spine of the new Western Expansion Secondary School. This was over 3000 cubic metres of concrete and 350 tonnes of new reinforcement and all completed two weeks ahead of schedule.
At the same time we began installing site-wide drainage and services infrastructure, form curbing, paving and external works as well as a new car park.
